Three places, one season. Stowe in the wet cold under Mount Mansfield, Door County inland among the picked orchards, and Napa Valley after the harvest. Everything we bought for a real autumn.
The season splits cleanly. Stowe is the outer layer scene, where the Yukon Hybrid Jacket ($298) and the Mirage Anorak ($158) do the deciding. Door County is the knit scene, built around pieces like the Cloud Waffle Crew ($139.95) and the DreamGlow Crew Neck ($108). Napa Valley is the lightest of the three, where a shirt or a cropped jacket is the whole answer.
